Construction of the Hanbaram 1 and 2 wind power plants commenced in January 2021, with completion and operational status targeted for September 2021. Situated in the Loi Hai and Bac Phong communes, these projects boast a combined installed capacity of 117 MW. The Hanbaram Wind Power Joint Stock Company stands as the investing entity behind these initiatives. PC1, serving as the EPC general contractor, is responsible for a comprehensive range of services including legal, technical design, procurement, construction, development, manufacturing, installation, and testing of lines and substations, culminating in the COD for the power plant.

On September 7, 2021, amidst the challenges posed by the pandemic, BBG Investor and PC1 Group J.S.C (PC1) achieved a significant milestone in Thuan Bac and Ninh Hai districts of Ninh Thuan province. They successfully powered the 110kV substation and transmission lines linked to the Hanbaram Wind Power Plant. Despite the hurdles of social distancing and disrupted logistics, PC1 implemented effective measures to energize the project on schedule. The operationalization of the Hanbaram 110kV Substation is crucial, allowing PC1 and the Owner to proceed with power generation and COD tests on the plant’s turbines, which boast a combined design capacity of 116 MW across 29 wind towers, aiming to meet the COD deadline for the entire facility by October 31, 2021.
The initiative has made a substantial impact on the development of Ninh Thuan province, leveraging local resources while also aiding in environmental conservation. It has notably increased the nation’s electricity production, thereby bolstering and securing the country’s energy supply. This project exemplifies a harmonious balance between progress and sustainability.
