The Project initiative commenced in October 2020 and reached completion one year later, in October 2021, with the plant ready for energization. Boasting an installed capacity of 50MW, it is projected to produce approximately 146,190 MWh of electricity annually. The venture is backed by Gia Lai Electricity Joint Stock Company. PC1 contributed to the project through a range of services, encompassing legal, engineering design, procurement, construction, development, manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning of the entire facility and equipment.

The project unfolds in three stages:

From the second to the fourth quarter of 2020, activities include preparing feasibility studies, designing the project’s basics, organizing tenders, and selecting contractors for consultancy, construction, and equipment procurement and installation.
In December 2020, construction of the project commenced.
By October 2021, the project reached completion.
With a 50-year operational lifespan post-approval, the Ia Bang Wind Power Plant Project will significantly bolster the power grid upon successful integration, reinforcing national energy security. It harnesses clean, safe energy sources, potentially cutting CO2 emissions by 150,000 tons annually. Moreover, it promises to generate employment, enhance fiscal earnings, and foster local socio-economic growth.
