The Dam Nai 2 substation, a pioneering foreign-owned wind power facility in Vietnam, is situated in the districts of Thuan Bac and Ninh Hai, Ninh Thuan province. Initiated in May 2018 and operational by September of the same year, the project is a venture by the Dam Nai Wind Power Joint Stock Company, under the aegis of The Blue Circle Company from Singapore. The station boasts a 115/23/6.3kV transformer with a 63MVA capacity, three 110kV circuit breakers, and nine compartments of 22kV medium voltage cabinets, culminating in a total capacity of approximately 40MW. PC1, serving as the main contractor, oversaw the E03 package, which encompassed the supply and construction of the 110kV 63MVA transformer station for the Dam Nai Wind Power Plant.

The plant has been equipped with 15 turbines, each boasting a rotor diameter of 114 meters, setting a record for Vietnam. It is anticipated that this installation will contribute approximately 110 million kWh to the national electricity grid annually. Additionally, the company has embarked on an expansion project, adding 40 turbines, which will enhance the plant’s total output capacity to 105 MW and elevate the annual electricity production to roughly 350 million kWh. The inauguration of the 110kV transformer station marks a significant advancement in bolstering Vietnam’s power infrastructure, fostering environmental conservation, diminishing pollution, and bolstering socio-economic development and the quality of life.
