The Ia Bang Wind Power Plant project commenced in October 2020 and reached completion one year later, in October 2021, at which point it was ready for energization. This renewable energy venture boasts an installed capacity of 50 megawatts. Annually, it is anticipated to generate approximately 146,190 megawatt-hours of electricity, contributing significantly to the region’s energy supply and sustainability goals. The venture is backed by Gia Lai Electricity Joint Stock Company. Within the scope of this project, PC1 is responsible for a range of services and tasks, encompassing legal services, engineering design, procurement, construction, development, manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning of the entire factory and COD machinery.

The Ia Bang Wind Power Plant Project is structured into three distinct phases. The initial phase spans from the second to the fourth quarter of 2020, focusing on the preparation of feasibility study documents, the foundational design of the project, and the commencement of the bidding process. During this period, the selection of contractors for consultancy, construction, as well as the supply and installation of equipment, takes place. Construction of the project kicked off in December 2020, marking the transition to the second phase. The final phase culminated in October 2021 with the completion of the project.

This project is designed to operate for a duration of 50 years, commencing from the date of approval of the Decision. Upon successful integration into the power grid, the Ia Bang Wind Power Plant Project will contribute significantly to the national power supply, bolstering energy security. It harnesses clean and environmentally friendly energy sources, which is instrumental in reducing carbon emissions by an estimated 150,000 tons annually. Moreover, the project is a catalyst for economic growth, generating employment opportunities, augmenting budget revenues, and fostering socio-economic development in the locality.
